Introducing the James Cutler Signature Series

Award-winning timber frame specialist James Cutler has been described as the architect of "some of the most finely wrought timber frame houses in the nation." Now, Cutler's award-winning design capabilities are captured in our new Signature Series floor plan collection.

Recently released, the Early Leaf is the first of many Cutler plans that will join the Lindal Cedar Homes floor plan library.

A native of eastern Pennsylvania, James Cutler graduated from the University of Pennsylvania. He then joined Peter Bohlin's office in Wilkes-Barre, PA (now Bohlin Cywinski Jackson) before moving to the Pacific Northwest in 1977. Cutler has been the recipient of numerous awards including six National Honor Awards from the American Institute of Architects, 2001 Honor Award from The Wood Design Awards and several awards from both the Western Red Cedar Association and the American Wood Council. Among his many projects, Cutler was chosen as the architect for Bill Gates' famous home in the Seattle woods.
