A Wide Selection of Cedar Siding Options
Next to its distinctive design, your Lindal home’s character is most defined by the siding you choose. From cedar shingles to log timbers, Lindal offers a wide selection of cedar siding including:
|
|
- Clapboard siding: Also called bevel siding, clapboard instantly evokes an era of fine craftsmanship and time-honored homebuilding traditions. Available in two widths, 7/8"x8" re-sawn bevel and 11/16"x8" re-sawn bevel, this option comes in a variety of pre-stained finishes.
- Round log siding: For the timeless look of a log cabin without the irregularities and shifting of whole logs, consider Lindal round log siding. The 2"x8" tongue and groove design creates a tight fit. In addition, this thicker siding material and the insulation in the frame wall will provide greater energy-efficiencies than many other siding options.
- Shingles: Lindal’s clear grade, uniform cedar shingles will enhance your home’s exterior while offering exceptional durability. Our shingles are sawn on the vertical grain to minimize cupping, and trimmed for parallel edges with butt sawn at right angles. They are available in natural, or primed on all sides in white, gray or special order colors.
- Hardiplank: The Hardiplank fiber-cement exterior siding is a durable alternative to traditional wood siding. Available in ‘Cedarmill’ wood-look finish, the material resists damage from extended exposure to humidity, rain, snow, salt air and termites.
If you are looking for a log cabin, Lindal also has two options: Lindal Logs or solid cedar timbers. More information can be found in the Building System section for Lindal Log and Lindal solid cedar timber options.
In addition to style, you want durability and a perfect fit of every piece of siding. All signature Lindal siding is made from premium grade select, kiln-dried, tight-knot Western red cedar. Each piece of siding is kiln-dried to reduce and control moisture content and reduce the chances of twisting and warping. This also makes construction easier, shipping costs lower and ensures a tight fit. This makes for long-lasting, attractive siding that is resistant to water and naturally repels pests. Most Lindal siding is also available in a wide array of pre-stained finishes to protect your investment.
