As one of the pioneer North American building product companies in the Japanese housing market, Lindal has been competing successfully there for more than three decades. The share of international business at Lindal ranges from 10% to 15% of our total revenues, and is considered an important part of Lindal's strategic plan for long-term growth.
And Lindal Cedar Homes knows how to support you in your market! We recognize that it is vital that we let the local expert—you—take leadership on how to localize the Lindal product and process for your market.
For smaller markets, we have staff at our head office who are attuned to the unique needs of the overseas markets, and whose responsibility is to support your dealership's success on a daily basis. Lindal's corporate staff will make occasional visits, and attend Model openings and special events.
For larger markets, we will consider appointment of a country manager, after abilities have been demonstrated at the dealership level. In addition to the dealership business, the country manager is responsible for recruitment, training and day-to-day oversight of that market's dealers. A country manager is also responsible for coordination of marketing and advertising plans for the respective markets, in coordination with corporate head office. Of course these country managers enjoy support directly from our head office also.
