A beautiful setting, gorgeous view, and perfect weather… what more could you want? How about 97,000 pounds of building materials on two long-bed trucks, delivered to a clean and organized job site and inventoried by a local Lindal dealer? It’s all part of the services provided when you work with Lindal to build  your dream home.

Rafael & Akiko are both engineers, working on the east coast and around the world during their careers. Rafael was raised in Seattle, and when it became time to build their retirement home, the couple fulfilled their long time dream to build a big Lindal home on the banks of the Columbia River.  Here is a photo story of delivery day.

Local Lindal dealership Seattle Cedar Homes started working with the homeowners in 2012.  Rafael did most of the initial layout and design and worked with Lindal to refine it and make efficient use of the Lindal materials and building system—a true custom collaboration between the dealer, homeowners, and Lindal designers.
