Sir Walter Lindal (1919-2011) Founder, Lindal Cedar Homes

In 1945, Sir Walter founded the company, which is still family owned today. Sir Walter was a pioneer in the business of creating prefabricated homes. He drew inspiration from his experience working in his uncle’s lumber mill. Sir Walter’s emphasis on quality, reliability, customer service and innovation continue as cornerstones of the Lindal philosophy today.

Bob Lindal Chairman of the Board

The son of founder Sir Walter Lindal, Bob is a professional engineer and has spent most of his career in the family business. He ran a Lindal dealership in Hawaii for a number of years with his brother Doug, managed Lindal’s factories in Canada, and then returned to Seattle to take the reins of the company from his father. Bob is passionate about the Lindal homeowners and dealers.

A boating enthusiast, Bob is a regular participant in Predicted Log Racing competitions and a member of Seattle’s Queen City Yacht Club.

Christina Lindal President

A third-generation Lindal, Christina has been involved in the family business for most of her life.

She is excited to bring Lindal into a new era of homebuilding, while remaining true to the values that have sustained the company for over 80 years. Continuing a decades-long Lindal tradition, Christina ensures that for every Lindal home built, 25 trees are planted through Lindal’s partnership with American Forests’ Global ReLeaf program.

Christina holds a degree in molecular biology from Scripps College.

Her hobbies include rooting for Seattle sports teams and playing with her new puppy, Leelu.

Bret Knutson Vice President, Systems and Development

Bret has been with Lindal since 1993.

Together, Bret and former drafter Scott Biles were responsible for coming up with the Elements design system for Lindal’s modern home lines – expanding on the idea of the modern A-frame with a fresh new take.

Bret enjoys working with customers and dealers to take their ideas and make them work within the Elements system. By adhering to the design principles of the flexible and reliable Elements system, every new Lindal homeowner walks away with a Lifetime Structural Warranty on their home. Bret draws on his years as a full-time drafter, combined with an education in building science and three years of architecture school at the University of Hawaii. 

Jos Kannin Director of Marketing

Jos develops marketing strategies to increase brand awareness, generate leads, and improve market share. She handles Lindal’s advertising, PR, and email marketing, website design and content creation, collateral production and photography, and provides marketing resources to Lindal’s international dealer network.

Denise Podnar Sales Manager

Denise Podnar leads Lindal Homes’ sales efforts with a clear focus on supporting the company’s local dealer network — the trusted partners who bring the Lindal experience to life for homeowners. With over two decades of experience in sales leadership and partner development, Denise is passionate about empowering dealers with the tools, training, and support they need to deliver exceptional service. Her collaborative approach and commitment to the Lindal tradition of quality and client care make her a valued leader on the Lindal team.

Aris Georges Architectural Designer

Aris George, principal of OM Studio Design, creates custom Lindal designs by working directly with clients and their Lindal dealers. Aris brings his passion for Frank Lloyd Wright’s principles and the modern Lindal Elements system to life with a masterful use of 3D graphics throughout the design process.

Sara Moetamedi Operations Manager

As Operations Manager, Sara oversees the drafters, pricers, operations and shipping for the company, and continues to support our mission of delivering exceptional results for our clients and dealers. Sara also oversees Linda’s manufacturing plant, located in Burlington, Washington, and ensures the timely shipment and delivery of expertly packaged, high-quality pre-cut home building materials to Lindal customers worldwide.
