Meet the owner
James Allee, CAR, BIA, NARB, CRTT, is the founder and owner of Cal-Neva Custom Cedar Homes and brings more than 30 years of experience in construction and real estate to every project. A licensed builder and broker in California, James has built a career defined by integrity, innovation, and a commitment to excellence.
Before founding Cal-Neva Custom Cedar Homes, James co-founded The Sunbelt Limited Companies, where he oversaw construction, acquisition, and asset management for a range of commercial, industrial, and custom residential projects along the prestigious Southern California coast. His expertise covers all phases of construction — from site evaluation and cost estimation to design, bid management, and quality control.
Earlier in his career, James served as an Associate Partner with Texas Real Estate Enterprises, managing the sale of over 20,000 apartment units and $350 million in commercial real estate across Texas, Arizona, and Southern California. He also launched the firm’s Affordable Housing Division, broadening housing access while maintaining high development standards.
Today, James channels his decades of experience into helping Cal-Neva clients create homes that stand the test of time. His deep understanding of construction, real estate markets, and client needs ensures that every home is not only beautifully designed but also expertly built for lasting value.
