A lovely two-bedroom, three bath modern home based on the Lindal Elements system and built on a lot that slopes down to the Antietam river. The main floor is 1,074 square foot. An unfinished lower level with nine-foot ceilings adds 838 square feet, almost doubling the space.
The homeowners, both of whom are artists, worked with their Lindal dealers to customize their design using the Lindal Elements system, in order to create the perfect weekend getaway for their family of four. The exterior is charcoal-stained cedar siding, with a red metal roof and white trim.
The covered entry was designed to be wide enough to include stairs to the lower level so it can be accessed from the main house. The homeowners use the space as an art studio and workshop.
The great room is bright and airy, with a wall of windows and sliding glass door out to the deck.
The small bedroom off the living room is where their teenage daughter sleeps.
A small loft is used as a bedroom for the 10-year-old and could also be used as a tranquil yoga studio.
